Dashboard

The Dashboard is your at-a-glance view of the day and week: where the hours went, what's running right now, and how the trends are moving — without opening a single report.

Get started

TimeCampus is generally available — create an account at app.timecampus.com.

What it's for

Most days you don't need deep analysis; you need three answers fast:

  1. What have I done today / this week? — totals, billable hours, and how the time splits across projects
  2. What's happening right now? — a running timer, front and centre, with controls to stop or switch
  3. How am I trending? — focus, workload, and patterns at a glance, before they become problems

The Dashboard answers those on one screen. For the deep dives, it links out to the fuller views — Analytics, Reports, and the Timeline.

Built from widgets

The Dashboard isn't a fixed page — it's composed from widgets, the visualization and control components of the TimeCampus extensibility model:

Widget kindExamples
ChartsTime by project, daily distribution, weekly trend lines
MetricsTotal hours, billable hours, entry counts for a period
ControlsTimer start/stop, so you can track without leaving the Dashboard
SummariesRecent entries, current focus and workload signals

Because widgets are composable, the "right" dashboard differs by person: a consultant leans on billable metrics and project charts; someone protecting their focus leans on trend and pattern widgets. See Widgets for the full library and how widgets work everywhere in the platform, not just here.

Reading your day

A typical flow when you open the app:

  1. Check the top-line numbers — hours so far today and this week, and the billable share.
  2. Glance at the running timer — is the right thing being tracked? Stop or switch directly from the widget.
  3. Scan the charts — is time going where you intended? A project eating more than planned shows up here first.
  4. Follow the outliers — click through to Analytics for trends, or the Timeline to see the day hour by hour.

Setting it up

Your Dashboard is yours:

  • Compose the widgets you care about — add what informs you, remove what doesn't
  • Your layout is remembered per user — TimeCampus persists your view preferences and dashboard state, so the Dashboard comes back exactly as you left it, on any device (see Your first workspace)
  • Different roles, different dashboards — in a shared workspace, each member composes their own view; team-level widgets show aggregate data by design, in line with the privacy model

Where the numbers come from

Every Dashboard number is derived from your time entries and captured activity — the same source of truth behind the Timeline and Reports. Fix an entry and the Dashboard reflects it; there's no separate bookkeeping to keep in sync.
