Client Portal
The Client Portal lets you share a read-only view of a client's projects and tracked time with the client themselves — without giving them access to your workspace. Open Client Portal in the navigation at app.timecampus.com.
How it works
For each client you create a portal configuration: the client's name, contact details, an optional logo, and the set of projects associated with them (projects linked to that client are surfaced automatically). You control whether the portal is active, and what it exposes.
When a portal is active, TimeCampus generates a private share token — an opaque, unguessable link you send to the client. Anyone with the link sees the portal view; no TimeCampus login is required. The link resolves only while the portal is active.
What the client sees
The client sees a focused, read-only summary:
- The client name, description and logo you configured
- The projects associated with them, with status
- For each project, the total tracked time — shown only if you've enabled hours
- Optionally, the project budget — shown only if you've explicitly enabled it
The logo identifies whose projects these are; the portal itself keeps the TimeCampus name, so your client knows what they are looking at.
Everything else about your workspace stays private. The portal view exposes only the fields the portal's permissions allow — hours are shown unless you turn them off, and budgets are hidden unless you turn them on.
Controlling access
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Deactivate the portal | The share link immediately stops resolving |
| Regenerate the share token | Issues a fresh link and invalidates the previous one — use this if a link was shared too widely |
| Adjust permissions | Turn hours or budget visibility on or off |
Because the token is the only credential, treat the link like a password: share it with the client, regenerate it if it leaks.
