Reports

Reports turns your tracked time into deliverables: client-ready timesheets, billable-hours summaries, and project breakdowns you can download and share. Where Analytics is for understanding your own behaviour, Reports is what you hand to someone else.

Open Reports in the TimeCampus navigation at app.timecampus.com.

Available reports

Reports build themselves from the data you already have — as soon as you have time entries, focus scores, or work patterns, the corresponding reports appear as ready:

ReportWhat it contains
Time Tracking SummaryTotal tracked hours and entry counts across the period
Billable Hours ReportBillable hours, with active timers noted — the basis for client billing
Work Pattern AnalysisAverage focus hours and productivity across your working pattern
Focus Score ReportAverage, highest, and lowest focus scores over the period

Each report row shows its status and a download action. If you haven't tracked anything yet, the page tells you so — start with your first time entry.

Generating a report

  1. Open Reports.
  2. Click Generate Report.
  3. Pick the report type and scope it to the period you need.
  4. Download the result from the report list.

Scoping and filters

Reports reflect the data behind them, so the levers you have are:

  • Date range — scope a report to the week, month, or billing period you're invoicing
  • Project attribution — time attributed to projects flows into project breakdowns; unattributed time shows up as such, which is itself useful signal
  • Billable flags — only entries marked billable count toward the Billable Hours Report; see budgets and billable time

The more consistently you attribute time to projects and mark billable work, the less cleanup a report needs before it goes to a client.

Reports and approvals

If your workspace uses time approval, reports and approvals work together:

  • A timesheet built on approved entries is one you can stand behind in a billing conversation.
  • Run your approval pass first, then generate the report for the same period.

See Time Approval for how the submit → approve flow works.

Client-ready reporting

For freelancers and consultants, the intended loop is:

  1. Capture happens automatically across your tools (see the Timeline).
  2. Attribute time to clients and projects as you review.
  3. Export the timesheet and project breakdown for the billing period.
  4. Pair it with expenses so the invoice reflects the full cost of the work.

If you want a client to see their hours on an ongoing basis rather than per-export, configure a client portal.

Scheduled and recurring reports

Recurring report delivery is handled by workflows — the automation layer that runs triggers, conditions, and actions on your time data, including scheduled reports. If you want a summary produced on a cadence rather than on demand, set it up as a workflow.

See Workflows for how to build one.

Tips

  • Generate reports at a consistent cadence (end of week, end of sprint, end of billing period) so periods are comparable.
  • Fix miscategorised time entries before exporting — the report is only as honest as the data under it.
  • Use the Work Pattern and Focus Score reports for retrospectives; use the Time and Billable reports for clients and leads. They answer different questions.

Next steps

  • Time Approval — get entries approved before they're billed
  • Client Portal — share ongoing visibility instead of one-off exports
  • Team Analytics — the aggregate view leads use for capacity decisions
