Resource Planning
Resource Planning is where you plan who is working on what, and how much capacity the team actually has. Open Team → Resource Planning in the navigation at app.timecampus.com.
It exists to answer a single hard question honestly: can the team take on this work without burning out? Rather than guessing, TimeCampus compares the capacity you plan against the time the team actually tracks.
Resource plans and allocations
A resource plan describes a period of capacity for the team. Within it, allocations assign people to projects for a share of their time.
| Concept | What it represents |
|---|---|
| Resource plan | A planning window with the team's total available capacity |
| Allocation | A person committed to a project for a portion of their capacity |
| Capacity overview | Planned load per person against their available hours — who is over-committed and who has headroom |
Planning against reality
Because TimeCampus tracks time automatically, Resource Planning isn't a static spreadsheet. You can set an allocation and then watch tracked hours accumulate against it, so over-commitment shows up early — while there's still time to rebalance.
The capacity overview surfaces the people running over their available hours. That is a burnout signal you can act on: reassign work, defer a project, or adjust the plan.
Working sustainably
TimeCampus is opinionated about sustainable pace. Resource Planning is the team-level expression of that: plan to a realistic capacity, treat consistent over-allocation as a problem to fix rather than a badge of honour, and use Team Analytics and Burnout Signals to check that the plan is holding up in practice.
