Expense Tracking
Expense Tracking records the costs attached to your work — travel, tools, materials — alongside the time you track, and moves them through an approval flow. Open Expense Tracking in the navigation at app.timecampus.com.
Recording an expense
An expense entry captures what was spent, on which project, and when. Because expenses sit next to your time entries, a project's true cost — hours and outlays — is visible in one place rather than scattered across a separate tool.
The approval flow
Expenses follow a straightforward lifecycle:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Submitted | The expense is logged and awaiting review |
| Approved | A reviewer has accepted it |
| Rejected | A reviewer has declined it, with the reason |
This mirrors the Time Approval flow, so timesheets and expenses can be reviewed with the same habits.
Expenses, projects and billing
Expenses roll up per project, which feeds the honest cost picture TimeCampus is built around. Combined with tracked hours and billable rates, they let you produce client-ready totals in Reports and, where relevant, surface budget consumption in the Client Portal.
