Values and goals
Open Values & Goals at /timecampus/values-goals to record what matters to you and the intentions you want to pursue. These records belong to your own life-time view in the current workspace, not a team performance plan.
Values describe priorities
A value has a name, optional description, non-negative weight, linked life domains and an active flag. For example, a value named Learning could link to the Learning domain. Weight expresses relative importance; it is not hours spent or a rating of your behaviour.
When there are no usable balance targets, time well spent uses active values to derive desired domain shares. It divides each value's weight equally among its linked domains, adds weights for matching domains and normalises the result. A value with no domains contributes no desired share. Inactive values do not contribute.
Goals describe intentions
A goal has a title, life domain, positive target value and unit. It can link to a value and carry a cadence and status. A target of two hours of learning per week is an intention; creating it does not log two hours, reserve calendar time or establish that the goal was achieved.
The API supports DAILY, WEEKLY, MONTHLY and CUSTOM cadences, with a window required for Custom. Its statuses are ACTIVE, PAUSED, ACHIEVED and ARCHIVED. The page's available choices can differ from these API tokens; if a save is rejected, do not assume the goal was recorded. No automatic outcome or progress guarantee is implied by the target.
Goals are distinct from balance targets. Balance targets are desired hours per week for each domain and supply desired shares to analytics. A goal's target value does not automatically become a balance target or enter the time-well-spent formula.
Who can see them?
Values, goals and balance targets are self-only within the workspace. List operations filter to the caller's workspace and actor identity. Updates and deletes also check ownership; another person's record is treated as not found. These views do not let other workspace members read your personal priorities or edit them on your behalf.
This boundary does not make source work records private, and it is not a statement about platform operations or storage access. See recommendations for how your own targets can inform a suggestion.
